But what makes the 1945 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Romanée-Conti Grand Cru so expensive? The answer is quality and rarity. This bottle of wine comes from the 4.5-acre Romanée-Conti vineyard said to produce the highest of quality red and white wines. Not only that, due to the weather conditions during that particular year, wines were very concentrated and production was extremely low. This led to only 600 bottles ever being produced, with most having already been opened and consumed today.

Each bottle is filled with premium Heritage Cognac that has been maturing for a century in quality oak barrels. The bottle itself is made from sterling platinum and 24K gold, and is decorated with 6,500 diamonds.

Only one other bottle exists in the world. The bottle itself is decorated by a rare 18.5 carat diamond on the front and 3, 13 carat diamonds on its neck. The expensive liquor itself is produced in the Amalfi coast, famous throughout the world for its sweet lemons.
