Clase Azul Extra Anejo

Only 100 bottles of Clase Azul Extra Anejo (Ultra) were ever made with 50 being shipped to the US and the rest to Mexico. The bottles were made of ceramic decorated with 24-karat gold and silver. The tequila itself was made from 100% Tequilliana Weber blue agave and is aged in Sherry oak barrels, resulting in a beautiful amber color and smooth taste. Each bottle could be bought for $1,700.

Produced by the Beckmann family, known for their premium tequilas, the 1800 Coleccion got its name from the first time the company started aging tequila in French oak barrels, back in 1,800.

The bottle was designed by Bosco Sodi and Gary Baseman and is made of Belgian crystal with beautiful pewter trimming. The tequila, itself is made of matured agave and is double distilled for 10 years in French oak barrels. The result is a golden spirit with a delicate taste and a hint of almond. This beautiful piece can be bought for $1,800.

Limited to only 2,000 bottles a year, the Barrique de Ponciano Porfidio is one of the most exclusive and expensive tequilas on the planet, priced at $2,000 per bottle.

The bottle has a simple yet elegant design, decorated with 21-karat gold letters. The tequila itself is double distilled for 10 years in French Limousin oak barrels resulting in a rich and smooth taste loved by all enthusiasts.

The AsomBroso Reserva Del Porto is part of a limited edition series that beautifully combines the aesthetics of a luxurious decanter and the premium taste of a very high-quality expensive tequila.

Made from hand-picked blue agave, the tequila is double aged for a total of 16 years. The first 5 years of aging happen in a French oak barrel, while the remaining 11 happen in a Portuguese port wine barrel with a high sugar content level. Created to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Clase Azule, this luxury spirit was one of the most expensive tequila bottles in the world. Only 15 bottles were ever made, each worth $30,000.

The bottle itself was made of ceramic, decorated with 24-karat gold, but the contents are what really take the cake. The premium tequila is meant to be savored and is made from a blend of 2 ultra-aged reserve tequilas. One originating from the Tequilas del Senor distillery, aged for 15 years in a Spanish barrel and the second from Productos Finos de Agave distillery, aged for 11 years.

The hefty price tag is primarily due to the beautiful bottle the tequila is held in. Designed by then CEO of Ley .925, Fernando Altamirano, the handcrafted bottle is made of pure gold, white gold, and platinum. The contents however are no less impressive. The Pasion Azteca Ultra Premium Anejo tequila is made of pure blue agave and aged for 6 years before being added to its premium bottle, leading to an absolute premium taste.

The Most Expensive Tequila In The World: Tequila Ley.925 Diamante

Tequila Ley 925 Diamante

The most expensive tequila in the world is the Ley.925 Diamante Tequila worth $3.5 million. This premium spirit is aged for 7 years before being bottled. Such a premium drink needs a premium looking bottle. Designed by Mexican artist Alejandro Gomez Oropeza the bottle looks like a deep-sea treasure, and is decorated with 4,100 diamonds.

The Diamante Tequila previously held the Guinness World Record for the most expensive spirit until it was dethroned by the D’Amalfi Limoncello.
